Stay true to our DNA
Bold yet elegant and understated, our design draws on a heritage stretching back over 70 years to the official Swiss railway station clock. Since then, the iconic dial has grown into one of the most popular watches around the world. MONDAINE watches are not only stylish, but also have a subtle charm that sets them apart from other brands. With their clean lines, bold typography and striking red accents, these watches are the epitome of modern elegance. And because they're so well made, they never go out of style. One of the reasons we are proud of MONDAINE is our commitment to sustainability. All our watches are designed to last - with durable materials and precise technology. As a family-owned Swiss SME, we have been actively contributing to environmental protection with many innovative measures for almost 50 years. “The WE CARE mission means that we combine social and ecological responsibility with a corporate culture that encourages our consumers, trading partners and employees to act sustainably. For decades we have consistently relied on the responsible use of resources, on environmentally friendly solutions and on alternative materials. With our track record, we are continuously and step by step reducing our ecological footprint. We would like other watch brands to follow our example to support the next generations”, says André Bernheim, co-owner, chairman of the board of directors and environmental officer of the group.
MONDAINE is and will remain at the forefront of the watchmaking industry when it comes to sustainability. Thanks to our decades-long efforts to follow the 3R rules, since 2020 we are one of the first fully carbon neutral watch brands in the world (Scope 1, 2 and 3 of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol): Reduce, Reuse, Recycle ).
In addition, we produce watches with green electricity, 80% of which comes from our own photovoltaic system. As part of this commitment, all of our watch collections now feature sustainable, vegan straps made from textiles made from recycled plastic bottles, cork, cotton and grapeskin.
